Free Shipping on All Beer (e.g. Hawke's Half XPA $52.99 Delivered) @ Hawke's Brewing

160

I was recommended by a mate to try Hawke's Half XPA for some low-alcohol beer that actually has flavour. He also mentioned they've been offering free shipping on all their products. Surprisingly, it even applies to Tasmania so I'm going to give it a try. I've only ever tried the Lager before and it was an acceptable 'lawnmower beer' but I've not had the Patio Pale or Mid Lager so can't speak to their quality.

Hawke's Brewing is still proudly independent so you're buying direct from the brewers and not via Colesworth or Metcash. Plus, I'm impressed with how they've not given in to shrinkflation and still give you 24 cans in a slab.

  • I'd love to share what shipping costs normally are but since I've never bought from them before I have no idea. If anyone knows I'd appreciate if you share in the comments.

So the beer is still full price?

    try Hawke's Half XPA

How does it compare to Abbots Lager?

    or Howard's 'Action Man' Lager?

I tried some of the Albo Pale Ale, but it was quite bitter…

Also, the Rudd Small Pale Ale lacks substance…

U had all these just locked and loaded?

Abbot's: has a weird onion aftertaste

Howard's: has a lingering taste that just wont go away

Albo's: you go back for a second swill but may regret it

Rudd's: the most bitter of all

  • The Half XPA is fantastic. Genuinely the best low-alc beer I've had.

$53 for a near 0% beer. Tax is based on alcohol %.. how a are low alcohol (or even 0%) beers costing the same as a full-strength carton??? You're a mug if you pay this price for what is effectively a soft drink.

    • Curious do you count it the same as 0.5% beers re essentially I'm not drinking alcohol?

I'm saying that these companies are treating consumers as fools, when selling zero alcohol beer (or near zero) for the same price as full-strength beer. It's a joke! And they must be laughing.

        • Soft drink is water, flavouring, sugar and then carbonated. Probably not a fair comparison to brewing beer no matter the percentage of alcohol.

    • I thought the same thing

  • Swan Light for the win

  • Wowza that's expensive for light beer. I do blame our excise taxes for this whole situation though …
