  • or free with flyby points :D

    • How many points though? Does it work out cheaper than x5 $10 off shopping?

      • i think maybe 10,000 points would get you one of these maybe less.

  • Whats the difference between this and say the iO 9/10? Old toothbrush gave up and looking for a replacement

Io series is overpriced rubbish and has a design flaw that makes the heads mouldy. I replaced my old 2000 pro with this and I like the all-plastic body with no rubber - easier to clean and dry and maybe more durable. Also much better carry case ideal for travel

      • Yes, completely agree. I had an iO as well and the silicon at the base of the brush head gets mouldy quickly and it's difficult to remove. I highly suggest getting a Philips Sonicare, huge upgrade in terms of performance and cleanliness. There's a two pack (one for you and your partner) sold at Costco right now which was a great deal. My iO still works but I've benched it entirely now.

        • which iO is prone to mould?

I jsut got myself an iO4 yesterday, but i might return it

Good price but the power button appears to be recessed. The more expensive models the power button is raised and much easier to operate. The recessed button on another drove me crazy after awhile and it got replaced. First world problem!!!

    • Also you need to cycle through all three brushing modes each time you use the recessed button

      • You should be able to hold the button to turn it off, unless you are talking about using the Sensitive or Whitening mode, then you are on your own.

    • The recessed button is no issue for most people. I would suggest you likely have abnormally flat thumbs, making depressing the recessed button challenging. You were right to change devices, the last thing you want is a flat-thumb-induced repetitive stress injury (though if you brush your teeth at work after lunch, you could score yourself a work-cover claim).

Yet another pointless Oral-B release for the sake of marketing (ie. appearing that they have a new product).

It's an instant buy, great price, and I trust the rotating heads way more than the other back and forwards stuff. But why on earth can't Oral-B make some actual improvements.. they are so obvious:

    1. Indication of low battery BEFORE it goes into slow motion low-battery mode. Slow motion isn't any good at cleaning imho and it should never happen if the toothbrush was designed properly because you'd know to charge it in advance
    2. Short press on the button should be on/off only. Short press should not be used for speed changes. It's really annoying to cycle through speeds when trying to turn it off
    3. They recessed the button. What a fail. It's hard to find and use. Huge step backwards vs the old raised button.
    4. The 30 second timer thing is really annoying. Just do one slow turn to indicate this, not three. It feels like it takes forever (I know it doesn't) but mostly it feels really gross rotating at minimal speed
    5. Replaceable battery. Stop trashing my planet.
