First time poster here. Please be gentle.

Just saw this Sony Bravia 7 deal at Costco Perth Airport, $1749.97 for 65" and $2499.97 for 75" if you want a bigger screen. The 65" deal is ending on 08/06, not sure does the 75" deal end on the same day.

Pretty good TV I have to say. May not be as good as Oled TV but at least I don't have to worry about burn in.

I didn't take a photo sorry. Just used the stock photo from Sony.

Couldn't find the same deal on Costco website, may be site specific discount?

  For those who have been following the TV tech trends, are mini led as good as OLED or close to?
  In terms of watching movies, clarity and dark background etc.

    It can be both worse and better. Better because usually much brighter. No OLED burn in effects. No need to baby it

    Worse if you are in a perfectly dark room and you are watching very very dark movies

        Yes but it's not really there unless the scene is very dark

  I saw the 65" at Nunawading VIC yesterday for this price. It didn't look like they had stock of the 75" or I would have been tempted.

  Looks like it is a warehouse special as this model isn't available online.

  Price has gone up to 2499.98 today. Annoyed because I didn't have room in the car yesterday and I went specifically to get this today.

  I just bought the 65 from JB hi-fi. Received further 10% discount with price match from Sony, got free delivery and wall mount set up.
