hi everyone,

I've had this idea for a while for a thread where we can share our staff/family & friends discount where we work to help each other out.

my main idea was to share our workplaces/discounts and we can PM the person for more details etc…

so i'll start..

Place: Koch & Co
Description: Wholesaler of florist accessories, wedding decorations, glassware, ribbon & wrapping & event/functions, DIY
Discount: 25% off trade prices. (You have to login online first to see trade pricing, so PM me what your after and i'll reply back the discounted price)

I've had a few friends weddings lately, and they purchased all their decorations for centrepieces etc from my workplace, saved quite a bit.
I'm not trying to promote my workplace, just want to help out :)

    Great idea! Unfortunately I can probably see a lot of moochers lurking. I've got an awesome Bunnings Discount but they are super strict and I'd loose my job giving it out :/

    Even if you work in retail sales etc, commission based?
    maybe someone is looking for something and you can offer them a good deal

    So what does Bunnings give away is it a discount on stuff? always wonder what you get when you work for a large company.

      With Bunnings it depends on the profit of the item. I've gotten as much as 20% off before. It all depends.

        Surprised its not more.. I worked for Dahlsens in Victoria, staff pricing was cost+ 10%, which was good.. On high margin items, nails, bolts, screws, hand tools. made the very cheap.

          Bunnings also had a deal at the end of last year/ beginning of this year called a 'Team Saver Card' where you got your staff discount and paid no GST. Worked like salary sacrifice, so it also reduced your taxable income as well. You could spend up to 1k. Pretty good deal when you add up discount minus GST and tax benefits.

          Yes, I worked at Campbells Hardware many moons ago, and their staff discount was also cost plus 10%. The Bunnings one sounds pathethic. Given that it's Bunnings I'm not surprised though.

    I imagine a lot of businesses have a Staff Discount Policy that if abused, would result in the staff member losing their discounts…

    you don't have to list your discount if you don't want to,
    if you offer a service you can list it here too

    Hi

    Great thread. I can get some Italian coffee machines at a great price, discounts vary based on the model but usually about 20% off including delivery. Primarily Lelit coffee machines for use with a grinder and other brands that use the capsules.
