Recommendations for Best Interconnected Smoke Alarms QLD

Hey there! I’m on the hunt for DIY-friendly smoke alarms that comply with Queensland legislation. I’m looking for at least 5 of them. If you’ve been using smoke alarms and have any recommendations for good quality ones, I’d love to hear them!

Personally, Clipsal are probably the only brand that I would trust.

SparkyDirect is generally the cheapest for these sort of things. You usually cannot purchase Clipsal stuff easily (not avail at Bunnings), you've usually gotta purchase through a trades supplier. The public can purchase directly from SparkyDirect as well at the same prices.

    • what are the differences between your link model and this? I plan to buy 2 smoke alarms that only use sealed batteries and interconnect

    • Clipsal too pricey

Bought and fitted 'Red' smoke alarms from SparkyDirect.
Easy to install and no nuisance alarms.

    • Cheers mate do you have the link of the ones you bought from them ?

    • Mate, does yours have a test function with a remote?

Kinda had an idea in mind - let's say if you see teenagers about to break into your house, one could "test" a smoke alarm upstairs which would set off everything downstairs also and scare them away?

      • Would this only work for teenagers?
