Hey there! I’m on the hunt for DIY-friendly smoke alarms that comply with Queensland legislation. I’m looking for at least 5 of them. If you’ve been using smoke alarms and have any recommendations for good quality ones, I’d love to hear them!

what are the differences between your link model and this? I plan to buy 2 smoke alarms that only use sealed batteries and interconnect
Clipsal too pricey
Bought and fitted 'Red' smoke alarms from SparkyDirect.
Easy to install and no nuisance alarms.Cheers mate do you have the link of the ones you bought from them ?
Mate, does yours have a test function with a remote?
Kinda had an idea in mind - let's say if you see teenagers about to break into your house, one could "test" a smoke alarm upstairs which would set off everything downstairs also and scare them away?
Would this only work for teenagers?
Personally, Clipsal are probably the only brand that I would trust.
SparkyDirect is generally the cheapest for these sort of things. You usually cannot purchase Clipsal stuff easily (not avail at Bunnings), you've usually gotta purchase through a trades supplier. The public can purchase directly from SparkyDirect as well at the same prices.
