Deal is back. Go Nuts at Coles! From Wed 11 June to Tue 17 June.
Coles Cashews 750g $10 (Was $16):
Shopping last week for a $50/10k 4wk offer and grabbed these listed as $16, came up under $50 cos they where only $10, took off from selve serve fast to top it up as selve serve cancels the transaction if no activity for a few minutes.
Sir this is a Wendys
Huh?
I've had $50 transaction end up at $49.99 before. Run for a piece of fruit
Yessss, was just checking the price today fouiyohh
Noice
What do you guys do with these? Not that tasty compared to the chocolate covered ones
Cook with them - an important part of many Asian dishes.
Slightly crush them do top salads :)
If you have a nutribullet or something you can make cashew juice
dont you normally use raw ones to do nut milk with, rather than roasted ones?
Great for cooking, but the Costco ones are way better for snacking but are more expensive so I use these for cooking and keep the Costco ones for eating on their own. Last time I bought some in April, the Costco ones were about $23 for 1.13Kg but of course they well be more now…
Before anyone asks, cashews grown is Aus are not really a thing as we have the wrong climate/growing/profit conditions.
I will certainly buy some more via this offer though so thanks to the OP!
I prefer Coles cashews to Costco. I tried the Costco ones and thought they were too roasted and oily.
Fair enough. It would be boring if we all thought the same way!
Edit - any favorite peanut supplier?
Aldi peanuts are good :)
Great conditions, but only a fledgling industry in the middle of nowhere and we've exploited as much cheap labour as we can.

Costco’s shelled pistachios are pretty good.
too salty and also taste a bit artficial, i think coles are better but without offer they are a bit more expensive
I prefer natural cashews but gee - the coles cashews are all in the tiniest pieces… pretty rare to even get a whole one most of the time.
Have never found that, must be your local. Easy enough to check, they're in see through plastic packs. Have to say that the current 400g pack of Coles roasted/salted - bought about a month ago and still well in date - taste stale. Has not been a problem with Coles 400g cashews previously but I stopped buying Ww brand cashews after consecutive purchases with the same problem.
Once you open the packet they are exposed to the air so they go stale quicker. Do you put them in an airtight container?
They were stale from the get go. Have never had a problem with them going stale when left in the bag rolled up or in an "air-tight" container, irrespective of the season. Mind you they tend to get eaten fairly quickly i our household, usually within a couple of weeks.
Notwithstanding the great deal from Coles above, ongoing WW is still one of the cheapest p/kg - $15.83 kg ($19 for a 1.2kg bag)

However, pipped by ALDI - $15.72 kg ($11.79 for 750gm bag)

Thanks. I find Coles cashews better quality than Woolworths and Aldi.
Thnx - Ill try - I find the ALDI ones too salty
great, thanks
