So Who’s Finished Clair Obscur Expedition 33?

So I finished the game over the long weekend and all I can say is wow. I’m wondering for those that have finished it what your thoughts are. Without spoiling anything for those that haven’t finished yet.

All I can say without spoilers is this is the most impactful game I’ve played since the first Last of Us when it released in 2013. That opening prologue, just as impactful and the gameplay, I thought I’d never say the best game I’ve ever played would be a turn based game but here we are.

Anyway just wanted to glaze about this game and how much of triumph it is given it’s essentially and indie developed by 30 people and how much of a contrast it is to the AAA games of today.

    indie developed by 30 people

It wasn't. They used many production partners and there's hundreds of people in the credits.

That doesn't take away from what a fantastic game it is overall. We just need to stop parroting incorrect information.

  • About to start.

  • Tried it and found it too story-oriented. I prefer to read books or watch Netflix for stories. The turn-based combat was a bit weird too.

  • Looks at pile of shame….

I've been meaning to as I've heard the story's tone comparable to The Leftovers tv show which is one of my favourites.

  • I'm up to act 2, not sure how many acts there are. I'm enjoying it

    • Yeah keep going it gets even crazier in a good way

  • I wasn’t really enthralled with the prologue but made it through act 1. Put it down after that as I wasn’t really enjoying it
