    Runs a bit narrow.

  • I got these in a recent deal and I’m very happy with them. The sole seems quite bouncy but I’m coming back to running from an absence so it’s probably just normal. I didn’t feel they were narrow as I had read elsewhere. My foot is ‘normal’ size I guess.

  • Anyone got a comparison vs say a Pegasus?

Pegs are like bricks compared to these.
Much nicer and bouncier foam on the pumas. Perhaps not as soft as other shoes in the daily trainer class. Upper is decent, nothing special. I find the pumas (as with pretty much all other pumas) fit a bit narrow, and these marginally unstable for me. Grip is excellent, best in class really. Incredible value, will get 600ks plus out of them. Some people might find them too high stack for day to day/walking.
For a daily trainer I still prefer Novablasts but they'll never be this cheap.

      • Ok I’ve been tossing up whether it’s been worth paying up for the novablasts - sounds like this price is great for the pumas so maybe will grab as a backup pair

      • Spot on. For pure value, VN3's cant be beat by any running shoe out there, since Puma is still playing catch up in the market they discount regularly to <$100. Big fan of what Puma has been doing lately in their running lines.

Only comparable value IMO comes from Adidas due to frequent sales and easy availability at DFOs. Their equivalent to VN3s are Adizero SL2s which can be had for ~$100 and I prefer to the Pumas for energy return. Then there's the Adizero EVO SL for a big step up at <$200.

Go in and try it before committing. Most Pumas don't fit my foot shape. They tend to run narrow so definitely try before buy.

I went half a size up. They’re a good everyday shoe.

  • I love mine. Despite the calls that they are narrow, I've got a wide foot and found my normal size was fine and more than comfortable enough to run 2+ hour sessions.

    • Did you size up?

    • I tried on the wide version and they were "normal" fitting but still a bit snug.

Similar fit in the wide version to Endorphin speed 4s.

With NB shoes i go 2e typically

  • The names they give these running shoes are ridiculous. Truly.

  • There doesn't seem to be any cashback for shop back and cash rewards for rebel. I thought there was previously?

  • these are indeed narrow shoes and feels like holding your feet from middle…. i went to shop and end up buying Puma Magnify NITRO 2 Mens Running Shoes for 110$… bit of extra cushioning and wider feel
