Extremely boring game
Racing games are all sims now, which means they're not necessarily fun. For-fun racing games (beyond kart racers) have gone the way of the RTS. There's not really any way to innovate on the form. GRID Legends was the last game to try a 'fun' approach and it was pretty mid.
What about Forza 5 on PS5? Was thinking of picking it up

as a new to Forza player. it's great. not a Sim so it's a different game to GT but still a great game.
A good alternative to anyone who wants something that's not a Sim but well done and more realistic experience vs the likes of GRID and NFS
Fair. I wouldn't say extremely boring, though I enjoyed GT Sport more. I only like GT7 cause it has both my cars in it 👌

I do understand that some people find it boring, especially if you just play it with all the assists turned on.

Doubt it. No GT game has ever been a monthly game, Sport was in PS+ Extra for 6 months a few years ago though.

If only it was this price on the PS store for the digital download version.
Has been down as low as $62.47 - worth the bit extra to me for a game I might want to jump into every now and again for a few races without changing discs.
