Adding eBay 20% Promo Code to an Seller's Offer?

Hey folks, getting mixed answers on this one from googling so I wanted to check to see if anyone has gone through this before.

There is an item I'd like to purchase where the eBay 20% promo code can be applied to it.

I have received an 'offer' from the seller, with a discount on the listed price.

If I accept this offer, can I still apply the promo code to it?

The T&C of the promo code says "it may be used in conjunction with a seller coded coupon or offer" so I am thinking yes based off of that.

But many googled answers I get say you can only apply it to the listed price…

        In b4…. new post: eBay Seller refused my request for a further discount and renegged on a previous offer. Now I have to pay the listing price. I'm so sad

          Yessss boys and girls. It worked. The seller accepted my counter offer of $15 off their offered price, and I was able to apply 20% off of that with JUNE20 code.

          Then I paid with a 3% off eBay gift card from Macquarie marketplace for some extra dollaroos.

              @ATTS: Depends if the seller allows offers to be made on the item. I just had the item in my watchlist.

              Seller sent me an offer for $20 off. I counter offered for another $15 off and they accepted.

    I just tried this a few minutes ago and it worked.

    Seller offered me a $9 discount and I applied the 22% eBay Plus code (JUNEOFY22) on top of that and it went through fine.

    For everyone's information - YES it works. The eBay promo coupon could be applied with the seller's offer price.

    YMMV, check the T&C for other promo codes but it seems you can do it for the JUNE20 etc code.

      "seller offer" is a discount given by the seller out of their pocket. Ebay coupon is out of ebay's pocket. That's why you can double dip

      You can still use the JUNE20 code though without eBay plus. Depends if the item is eligible though.
