Free Coca Cola Soft Drink 2L @ Coles
    Min $50 for this freebie

This should be in the TITLE

    Not really a freebie then…

  • Dang I missed the $10.

  • With the price of coke when not on sale these days this is almost a buy one get one free deal

  • No wonder they're giving it away. It's mostly just bubbles nowadays.

Absolutely! Here’s a revised OzBargain-style response incorporating your feedback about the 10% discount threshold and encouraging fellow OzBargainers to be more discerning:

Oh wow, Coles, you really know how to spoil us! Spend $50 (assuming you can actually find $50 worth of groceries that aren’t “temporarily unavailable” or mysteriously swapped out for pricier alternatives), and you’ll graciously throw in a 2L bottle of Coke. That’s, what, a whole 8% back in “value” if you’re feeling generous with your maths? I can hardly contain my excitement.

Let’s not forget, this comes from the same supermarket that’s been caught red-handed with deceptive pricing, “specials” that aren’t so special, and a magical online ordering system where some of your cake mix ingredients—either eggs or butter—all vanish into the ether, leaving you with a bottle of Coke and an incomplete list of cake ingredients to drink it with. Because, as any home baker knows, even if just one ingredient is missing, the whole recipe is a no-go. But hey, at least you’ll have something to sip while you try to figure out what meal you can make with a random assortment of overpriced substitutions and missing items.

Honestly, OzBargainers, shouldn’t we be upping our game here? Is anything less than a 10% discount really a bargain, or is it just another public perception technique from the big corporations to convince us we’re getting a deal? Let’s not fall for the marketing smoke and mirrors—real bargains should actually make a difference to your wallet, not just your shopping cart.

Thanks, Coles, for reminding us that in the land of supermarket “bargains,” sometimes the real deal is just learning to lower your expectations.

P.S. Coles… Next time, maybe just offer free delivery or, I don’t know, actually deliver what we ordered? Just a thought!

You forgot to remove the ChatGPT part from your ai generated comment.

      • Appreciate your concern.

But tbh, I’m not really that worried.

Just to be clear, I wrote the content myself and only used AI to help make it a bit more readable.

I know a lot of people will poo poo any AI-produced content, but plenty of us just see it as another way to get the job done.

If it helps me share what I want to say, then why not?
