Acer Swift Go EVO OLED 14" Core Ultra 7-155H/16GB/512GB SSD Laptop $998 + Del ($0 C&C), Bonus $99.80 Gift Card @ Harvey Norman

210

Paid $1097 and very happy with it as is. Good deal imo. One color only, other is extra

99.80 gift cards brings it down to 898.2

Side note, this laptop is very loud if you put it in 'performance' mode in AcerSense. Normal and Silent is quiet.

Edit: Note weight says 2.4kg, I think it means 1.4kg. This series is very light weight. Blue model says 1.32kg

I had a play with one of these, a Ryzen version, and it felt very cheap. Glossy plastic shell with a lots of flex and creaks. It’s a great price for the specs but personally I’ll trade some performance specs for a sturdy construction.

  • bought one, thanks

  • I bought a 125H version few months ago for my son school studies, I reckon they run too hot about 70-80 degrees constant and hits 100 degrees booting up, the fans are very loud also.
Acer's software is not very great also tbh, Next time will stick to a Dell/HP.

Only good thing about it is the OLED panel

  • Is this touch screen?

This model isn't, the touch screen model I returned - it was trash. Only 1080p and no OLED

I have this and 2 things for anyone looking to buy. It gets extremely hot when charging.. fine when it's not plugged in. Second is I had this weird issue where the touch pad drivers get updated and I lost the ability to use touch pads for about a month after which it randomly fixed itself. Has to dow with Acers own software suite which updates these drivers. Acer tech support did not have a solution apart from hard reset… And has happened to many ppl

Also noticed it gets quite warm, the CPU hits 105c even, if you set AcerSense to performance mode it becomes a jet turbine and cools it down.

You can change it to silent mode in AcerSense and enable battery optimisation so it only charges to 80% to help things

Touch pad was probably the f10 function key xD

      • No.. not the f10 key.. see the thread on reddit
