    Price. Seller. Link. Reason?

Also available on Amazon/Big W/Aqara Australia for same price with free delivery.

Probably unsuitable for doors with existing locks, especially if it has additional deadlocks.

lol someone gave it one star are you sure it’s good

The 1 star review on the website seems rough

  • -3

The Aqara D100 is lauded for its seamless smart home integration and innovative fully-automatic locking, a true standout, yet we acknowledge the single one-star review that suggests there's still a tiny detail for perfection.

By the way I'm not promoting the brand or the model I found it to be a good deal so posted.

I have the A100, and it's a bit of a mixed bag. There's no integration unless you buy a hub to go with it, which it connects to via BT.
There's next to no config available on the lock. I.e. if you have guests over and you want to leave the front door wide open, it'll just beep away at you. No way to leave it unlocked either, so if you have a handful of people over, you either leave the door wide open, or you set them all up with pins or fingerprints scans.
I've raised these failings (and others) with the team at Aqara and it seems that it's too hard for the devs to program in.
    Build quality is good though.

    • I have one (3 years) and don't have this beeping if left open.
Though it does trigger some beeping if it's not closed properly, but not when it's left open for long periods of time?

      • Interesting. Mine is about 6months old, so I'd guess we're on different firmware versions or something.

Amazon is filled with no name tuya alternative for much cheaper.

I have one, handle form factor, but works totally fine with fingerprint. All the convenience we want. $70… none of these play well with smart home integrations so don’t bother for that unless you want to spend endless hours setting up and maintaining home assistant.

  • I have one of these on my front door, awesome unit, battery life is excellent, full array of smart features, needs a aqara hub to connect to wifi, most aqara cameras double as hubs, I have both so no issues. I rate the lock highly, also has a built in doorbell, and they look really nice inside and out.

I have one of these and it has been installed in an outdoor environment for 18 months. Ask me any questions.

    • Not a diy job

      • You can DIY if you know how to use a router properly, otherwise you need a professional (as for any other mortice lock).

    • did you install it yourself?
      reliability issues?
what happens when the battery is dead?
did you have an existing mortise lock?
      would you recommend? why/why not?

        Installed by: Professional carpenter
Performance: Flawless so far – hasn’t skipped a beat.
Battery Life: I’ve only ever let the battery drop to 30%. Based on this, I estimate the handle will easily last a year before needing a recharge.
Lock Compatibility: No existing lock was in place prior to installation.
Finish Quality: The lacquer started to peel after 12 months of sun exposure. I refinished\cleaned it over a couple of weeks, and it now looks brand new again.
Recommendation: Yes, I would recommend it. The unit feels solid and well-built.
Child Safety: Not ideal for families with young children. The child lock feature is ineffective and does not prevent them from exiting.

        • I don't have this specific model, but I've had an Aqara N200 as my front door lock (outdoor) for 2+ years and counting, zero issues and no peeling or any other damage so far.
