This distribution is an Incineroar based on the Incineroar used by Wolfe Glick to win the 2025 Pokémon Europe International Championships earlier this year to commemorate the 2025 North America International Championships running this weekend.

How do these work in early game? I've just starting playing again with a new file as I found it unplayable on switch 1, and is much better now with the Switch 2 update.

Pretty much. It's designed for the competitive doubles format. It's lv 50, so probably fine once you have about 6-8 badges, but the moveset and stats are for a supporter build, so it will feel weird for regular play unless you change it up.

It will also be excellent if you do the 2nd DLC, as that's basically designed around VCG doubles rules (and slaps as a result)
