[Switch] Super Mario Party Jamboree $58 + Delivery ($0 C&C/ In-Store) @ Harvey Norman

200

Pretty good price on the latest Super Mario Party game at Harvey Norman.
Only 60 cents more expensive than the cheapest it's been on Ozbargain (lowest price post here)

This was released October 2024 with overall feedback to the game being quite positive.
A few threads discussing how the game compares to the other Super Mario Party games on the switch:

Could probably also get JB-Hi-Fi to price match as they currently only offering this at $64.

Cheers grabbed a copy. I'll do the upgrade to the switch 2 version when that comes out. I should have probably checked how much that was before I purchased I guess. Oh well I did a click and collect so can cancel the order if need be. :)

Cheers so I'll save about $11or so I guess. Which for a Nintendo game is not too bad.

You are probably better off getting NSO + Expansion as a family pack. You might be able to join one (see ozbargain classified).

It works out to under $14/year and you get all the upgrade packs like LoZ BotW, ToTK, Splatoon dlc, Mario Kart 8 DLC, cloud save, access to some old games from GC, N64, SNES, NES.

So instead of $30 upgrade, you get 2 years worth of the above.

          • @azngamer: Oh is the Mario party dlc included in it too? I've got the nso plus expansion!

@krammis76: Sorry, looks like comments from lorikeet and freoleo is correct. I've just wrongly assumed it would be included.

@azngamer: From what I saw only the upgrade packs for the two Zelda games (worth $20 each) are included with NSO+
The Mario Party Jamboree upgrade pack needs to be purchased separately.

@azngamer: You don't get all the packs, the Zelda ones were a special deal

      • From the info released so far the upgrade only seems t impact the Jamboree TV part f the game which is it's own separate made from the original game. Basically this is half baked update not worth the money. The original game itself is great.

Worth mentioning if you haven’t thought about it for only $10 difference I would just buy the switch 2 edition because the upgrade pack comes along with it on the cart, so if you wanted to resell in the future you can get a bit more

      • Is the switch 2 cart of it compatible with the switch 1 though? I actually thought i'd have more chance selling the switch 1 version if i'm being honest.

        • +1

Yes the switch 1 will just ignore the upgrade pack on it and just load the game without it.

I tried price matching this at EB games yesterday and they said no. They matched jb’s price but next time I would just go directly to jb and try price matching.

Lol, so much for EB's cheapest price guaranteed…

Officeworks price-beat this to $54.05 for me. Paid with a 10% discounted gift card from Coles, and used the 15x Fly Buys promo. If you count the points as a discount it brought it down to ~$44.60. Feels like a solid bargain.
