Your better off sending in a device even if its not the same phone. Then they will send it back no charge. I believe this has happened before if someone can clarify

If you are a normal user, no. you only need 256gb storage because it supports sd card to expand more storage. Extra ram for heavy user, but it is a tablet. 12g ram works for 99% people.
