BeyerDynamic MMX 200 Wireless Gaming Headset $299 Delivered @ BeyerDynamic

140

25% off + free postage. The best price when compared with previous deals. From supplier so warranty claims should be easier.

This is an upgrade for my WFH set-up. If you are able to tax deduct it then its a great price.

I’ve been following reviews for wireless headsets and researching best one for a few months now, this seems like the best headset at this price point. It had the best mic and audio quality of any wireless headset at this price. I picked it over the Audeze Maxwell, Logitech Pro 2 and A50X, Arctis Nova Pro, and some others.

I should get them in the mail in a few days if anyone has questions.

    • I have a question: Why does (*ptr + 3) increase the memory address by three integer positions, rather than simply adding 3 to the value pointed to by ptr?

      • +6

Answer: It doesn’t. (*ptr + 3) adds 3 to the value, not the memory address. To move the pointer by 3 positions in memory, you’d write ptr + 3, and to access the value there, *(ptr + 3).

    • Hey OP, do these support multipoint BT or any form of simultaneous audio?
Like connected to PC with dongle and to phone with BT, can both audio sources play at once or can it only connect to one source at a time?

  • Not bad… I really had my heart set on the MMX 150 a few months ago, only to discover that it's been discontinued.

Also, it's recently been on the news that Beyerdynamic has been bought by Cosonic. I hope their reputation for the goods won't be affected.

Reputation is already in the dumpster compared to other major headphone companies, so it should be fine

    • Cosonic.

I saw a post on reddit. Cosonic was mainly chinese brands, such as Huawei (good products though), Soundcore, 1More.

Philips was on the list, but they have been enshittified lately they aren't the same philips that made the old headphones and LED bulbs and philips hue smart lighting.
I don't know why JBL was on the list, I thought they are owned by Samsung. maybe JBL headphones and earphones are not owned by Samsung and owned and made by Cosonic?

I suddenly noticed on amazon Japan (I shop there occasionally) philips started releasing all these random products they never did before. like wireless phone chargers, power banks, and cheap looking flashlights etc all low cost tier too. so seems like Japan economy doing it tough, noticing this more lately big brands selling their logo to whoever pays the most.

so I guess that's what might happen with Beyerdynamic. maybe not. but I have a feeling you will start seeing a lot of cheap aliexpress type products which weren't good enough for brands like Xiaomi to put their logo on, sold as Philips and Beyerdynamic. Beyerdynamic hair dryer!!

      • That’s fair enough and thing to look out for.

This specific headset looks good. There are about 10 reviews comparing it other wireless headsets, and from the mic comparison videos using raw mic input this sounds the best imo.

They say this has bad EQ software

        • This specific headset looks good.

sorry I should have said. any Beyer product on the market now including the product in your post, would have been designed and made before Cosonic bought Beyerdynamic, so aren't affected.

just new releases from now on that you need to be careful about. also no guarantee that quality goes down and brand starts to appear on cheap crap, it's just what happened with the philips logo.

manufacturing will continue to be in Germany

      • Was researching for a good pair of headphones for gaming

Came across this brand but now am not sure. The MMX 200 doesn’t have the made in Germany but the MMX 330 Pro has this stated on their listing

Can we assume that the MMX 200 is still made in Germany?

        • You can, but you know what they say about assume…

    From the spec sheet

Low Latency USB Wireless Adapter for Gaming
on devices with USB connection (PC, PlayStation®,
    Nintendo Switch)

    Bluetooth 5.3 supports A2DP, HFP, SBC, LC3

It also says you can connect it with a USB-C cable for USB audio if you want to use it wired.

    Sounds pretty versatile.

  • Looks like its ended. I see $399
