Flip 7 Card Game 2nd Edition $15 + Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store/ OnePass/ $65 Order) @ Kmart

110

Flip 7 is a push your luck party card game. It has been nominated for and won some board game awards.

The 2nd Edition has appeared in Kmart stores. The 2nd Edition is at a cheaper price point than the 1st Edition because they've reduced the size of the cards, from Standard (63x88) to Standard American (56x88). The box is now not really a box at all. It's just one of those cheap flimsy tuck boxes or whatever you call them. I dont think it would last very long at all.

I assume it plays exactly the same though. My copy had slightly bent/curved cards. Not sure if all cards will be like that, or if the original cards are like that but just something to note.

It's currently rated 7.2 at BGG. Price History of Flip 7 at BGO but keep in mind it might be tracking both editions at the same time.

Flip over cards one by one without flipping the same number twice.

Sound easy? Think again! This isn't just any deck of cards… In Flip 7 there's only one 1 card, two 2's, three 3’s, etc plus a bunch of special cards that can score you extra points, give you a second chance, or freeze you or your opponents in your tracks.

Are you the type of player to play it safe and bank points before you bust, or are you going to risk it all and go for the bonus points by flipping over seven in a row? Press your luck meets strategy in this addictive card game that's sure to be the greatest card game you’ve ever played!

Bought one thanks OP. Currently $25 at amazon.

Got this last night, the game is not as good as some other pure push-your-luck games like Incan Gold or Deep Sea Adventure, but considering they're $40-50 this is well worth $15.

Although a "deal" would probably be more like $10.

6 nimmt! is another great (and better than this one) little card game that's available for around $15 all the time.

Target has some stock at the same price but looks like the first edition: https://www.target.com.au/p/flip-7-card-game/71239040

    • Could be! Maybe better off with the original?? I think the smaller cards work out better for my family. I just plan on playing with my wife and toddler just to get them into playing some simple card games, and have our toddler get used to numbers and stuff. I don't really need the box either as I'm a compulsive sleever and most of the time you can't really get the game back into the box once you sleeve your cards.

      • It's ages 8+, lmk how your toddler goes with that and whether the cards survive the drool and crumpling.

Maybe toddler isn't the right term any more. He's 4 now. I sleeve everything and he's played a few card games and board games. We'd have to hold his hand the whole way but I'm getting it more so my wife can get into more games.

    • Picked up my Target order from Kmart and it was the second edition (small box)

  • My favourite simple little card game is Love Letter Batman but its long since out of print and the second hand prices for that are crazy. Battle Line is my pick for a two player card game that is reasonably easy to get, unfortunately it is a bit overpriced. I did at some point print out the star wars fan made version though, which is awesome.

  • The online consensus is that the newer smaller box is better for convenience and the cards are more durable.
The only fault most people pick is the stupidly large box for a deck of cards.

Now I am confused if I should price match with JB and get the 1st edition for $15, or just go Kmart.

EDIT: this instagram post confirms, the big box is mostly empty and the second box seems like a better deal.

  • Hey guys. Found it for $10 at Gametraders in Garden City in Brisbane. 😭
