look I think we can all agree that anyone who paid more for their grinder than I did is a moron getting grifted while everyone who paid less probably makes their coffee using toilet water and calls it fine.
This amount of money will get you around 435 barista made coffees.
Less than 2 per working day. Doesn't take long to cover the cost of a nice setup vs buying out all the time.
Except the setup wont be with you all the time, plus add the cost of good quality coffee beans and equally good quality machine.
The price is good but don't get fooled by Aussie prices. This is closer to $2600 as a regular price on Espresso Coffee Shop.
Edit - actually I've disregarded GST so more again. As I said this price is good but Aussie prices in general for grinders and machines are poor.The weight based dosing is good to have, but that price!!!

This kind of level is like high end audio, my ears are too old to tell the difference, and most probably my tastebuds are too old to taste the 2k difference of this grinder also from my breville.
I have the atom 65 it's a commercial level coffee grinder. I've done 2800 double shot doses and has not skipped a beat.
I bought my chrome atom 65 for $1200 though so this is a massive jump up.
