Current AGL pricing shows NBN 50 at $79/month when bundled with AGL energy (vs $94/month without energy bundle).
Total bundled cost:
- $79 + $35 = $114/month ($79/M nbn bundled with AGL energy + $35/M 3x eero 6+ device repayment)
- After 12 months: $79/month (eero devices paid off)
- Without AGL energy: $94 + $35 = $129/month
What’s included:
- NBN 50/20 plan (50/18 Mbps typical busy period speeds 7pm-11pm)
- 3x eero 6+ mesh devices covering homes up to 420m²
- Supports 75+ devices with speeds up to gigabit
- Must bundle with AGL energy (electricity/gas) for discount
- No lock-in contract
- One standard modem included when you stay for 12 months
Important notes:
- Early termination fee of $10 per month remaining if cancelled within 12 months
- eero devices not available for FTTB/FTTN connections
- Bundle discount ($15/month) only applies whilst you maintain AGL energy service
The 3x eero 6+ retail value is $630, so you’re getting them at cost price over 12 months. Worth it if you need whole-home mesh coverage and don’t mind being locked into AGL energy for the discount.
Paying $35 a month for mesh routers to serve… 50/20 to your home seems a bit like overkill when you are locked in for 12 months.
Perhaps the 100/20 would be better suited, come September 14 when it becomes 500/50, then you would likely hit the limits of these eero 6+ in terms of wireless throughput.
