thought we left these in 2015

    • We've sold a decent amount over the past 2 weeks of our sale, so the demand certainly seems to still be there :)

There are many competing brands out there who are also doing quite well in 2025, with adults and kids both riding hoverboards, e-scooters and the like.

Like Doc said "When this baby hit 12km/hr, you're gonna see some serious sh1t! " [with a trail of flames]

Why is anyone calling these things 'hoverboards', when they are firmly connected to the ground/operate on wheels (i.e., definitely not hovering)?

With huge investment/capital, you could now create a 'theme park' that actually had functioning hoverboards, that could be 'skated' down narrow tracks. The technology you would need to utlise would involve neodymium ('rare earth') super strong magnets, and probably 'up draft' winds as well, to reduce the weight of the skater.

It could be done. This is not it though. This is something akin to a 'bare bones "segway" '.

  • Should be an automatic downvote for calling it a "hover" board
