Picked up one of these a couple of months back and just came back to order another one for my wife as it’s pretty cold now — noticed it’s discounted again too. We’re in a renovated rental house in Richmond (NSW) with decent insulation, and I’ve been using mine under the desk — it’s great for keeping my feet warm during long hours.

They have an EOFY sale on the website, so many other items are discounted too.

My order came with free shipping (not advertised). I checked a couple of postcodes and looks like they offer free shipping in Western Sydney — worth checking at checkout.

  So even the seller recommends you shouldn't use it without a thermostat that you have to pay extra for.

    There is no way that a 400W heater is going to heat up an entire room so much that it activates a thermostat.

    Maybe if you put it into a closet.

    I'm going to try one too. There are made in Germany and Japan versions which are a lot more expensive, but for something that's portable this is a much more budget way to try out IR heaters.

    Being as kind as possible, I'm going to guess that's when coupled with their thermostat so that the heater isn't on 100% of the time.

    Far infrared heating isn't some pseudo science. It's just regular infrared heating, but far more targeted as it doesn't (directly) heat the air in the room, but the objects in the room.
