Mesh Wi-Fi around $300

I'm wanting to upgrade my 5-year-old Tenda MW6 Smart Mesh Wi-Fi with something more powerful.

I've got $300 plus maybe another $50 so I'm not interested in how much better I could get for $700.
I've found the tenda reliable but notice huge packet losses if I'm not in the room with the main nova. I've played around with settings and internet providers but no real improvement.
I usually have about a dozen devices connected, none for gaming or other heavy tasks. Primarily watching Netflix on four devices and three work from home setups using video calling. Not a huge house but would prefer 3 novas for best coverage.
On NBN fttp with 100/20 connection which we often boost to 250/25.

Suggestions?

  ASUS ZenWiFi XD5 (3-Pack)

  How far away are you from the modem?
  Do you need coverage outdoors?

  Wifi 7 is the new standard and there are a few deals available. Wifi 6e is the previous standard so there are a lot of runout deals to be found especially now just before financial year

  Some newer mesh 2-pack can cover the same or more Wi-Fi range than the old mesh 3-pack. Maybe start with a 2-pack and go from there.
