[PC] Mortal Kombat 1+2+3 $2.29 (75% off) @ GOG

360

Five hundred years ago, an ancient and well respected Shaolin fighting tournament, held every 50 years, was corrupted by an evil and elderly sorcerer by the name of Shang Tsung. Shang was accompanied by Prince Goro, a warrior of the Shokan race (a four-armed half-human / half-dragon). Knowing that if ten tournaments in a row were won by the Outworld champion, the Earth Realm would be conquered by evil and fall into darkness, Shang entered Goro in the tournament and had him defeat the great Kung Lao. Goro has been reigning supreme as the undefeated fighting champion for five hundred years now. As the last tournament required draws near, Raiden, Thunder God and protector of the Earth Realm, enacts a plan to tip the scales in the humans' favor, Seven fighters step into the arena on Shang Tsung's mysterious island: Shaolin warrior Liu Kang, Special Forces operative Sonya Blade, the mercenary thug Kano, fame-seeking actor Johnny Cage, the ice-wielding Lin Kuei warrior Sub-Zero and his undead adversary Scorpion, and Raiden himself.

Re-live this arcade classic with the first 3 instalments of the Mortal Kombat franchise. I remember a long time ago I rode my bike to my local video shop where they were selling both SF2 CE and MKII on mega drive second hand for $20 each. I only had a $20 on me so had to go back a second time to pony up extra cash… my legs were absolutely wrecked that day. No regerts!

For $2.29 for all three MK arcade games it's totally worth it!

Old people tell the most amazing stories. Just hope when I'm your age I'm still into gaming.

First time I played MK at Time Zone all I could do was upper cut….. and sweep the leg! MK was the first game I got on the Mega Drive, promptly also hot a 6 butyon controller and the guy serving mr also showed how it worked….. by foing Sub Zeros fatality. I was mightly impressed.

MK was also the main motivator as to upgrading the memory just so I could play it on the Amiga 500. MK 2 was also cool.

They're bring out a MK 1-4 collection later this year (same style as the TMNT and Marvel vs Capcom collections). Its meant to contain the arcade and both snes + mega drive versions of 1-3. I am PUMPED.
