Not always. We're going to Europe in September and it was cheaper to book direct with Emirates when you take all charges and fees into consideration - also 3% Cashrewards.
No cap right? Thinking of booking the family in Etihad first class
AFAIK there aren't currently any Etihad flights ex-Australia in First, particularly after they withdrew the A380 from SYD and MEL. (They also used to fly 787s configured with First to Australia but the experience isn't nearly as good as it is on the A380.)
So you won't be able to fly First all the way, and depending on your destination the flights in First might not be very long (e.g. AUH to Europe).
Good point, guess the fam will have to slug it out in business.
Mm yeah good luck with that.
USA, Iran Israel all kicking off so I don’t many people want fly in that direction atm.
Visions of covid discounts all over again
They go to plenty of locations other than the middle east though. Sure, a 1 hour stopover in Abu Dhabi is kinda close to the action but I'm sure it'll be safe.
Safety perceptions aside, ongoing uncertainty about potential travel disruptions in the region will also be offputting to travellers.
Major airlines cancel flights to Dubai, Doha after US strikes on Iran
Yeah, after this morning's news, I stand corrected
Flew last year most of the screens did not work
Sounds like air India haiyaaa
Good luck with missing tracking and following up with customer care to get rejected , which has been a norm with many recent deals.
That would be my fear. Any experience with this?
Don't assume your cashback will be based on the full ticket price. A few years back, two Qatar Airways tickets totaling $2,310 resulted in $10 cashback. It was calculated on the fare portion only ($750) and didn't even include "Carrier Imposed Surcharge" ($1,068) 🥲
Fares always expansive on airline web page. once booked and not tracked then you screwed. not worth risking it.
