In typical Oztrail fashion, the Lantern appears to be cool white not warm, making it crap for tent lighting or keeping bugs away…
I deep dived into some research a few years ago about bugs and light colours, and basically differant bugs are attracted by differant colour lights, but on the whole, orange lights were only slightly better than cool white, and warm white attracted the most out off the three.
Yes warm white still attracts but not as much. It's also a more pleasant light if used inside tents (and outside) IMO. Cool white energises while warm white isn't as disruptive to circadian rhythms. Only reason to use cool white is for photography or colour matching/work - again IMO…
As of their rrp, they could have added both warm and cool white for selections.
OnePass just delivered a $12 Kmart camping Bluetooth light. Dim light with choice of 3 white colour. Speaker is OK. Will return.
