Trakracer has further reduced their TR40s down from $329 (last week's price) to $299 plus shipping. Note does not come with seat or rails so these are all extras. Recommend to get their rails and buy a used car seat which depending on your seat, could come out cheaper than the next level gt pro which is $569 atm.

Yea see those issues on Reddit alot but usually the Aussie guys don't have those issue, just the overseas buyers.
Communications seems ok, I emailed them on Saturday and got a reply on Sunday about adding to my existing order. Shipping seems quick too, ordered Friday and got notification that it will arrive today.
Sure, they're quick to respond to emails, but when you're chasing missing parts, it can take weeks.
I've paid for a seat slider, but the entire thing is MIA. Emailed them on Friday night, received a response on Saturday, and then experienced radio silence for a couple of weeks. I suppose the less complicated the rig, the fewer parts it will come with and the fewer bits that can go missing.
you're one of the lucky ones, i assure you :)
only reason to shop trakracer is for price, service is average at best and i've heard a lot of not very kind things about the organisation's operations from multiple sources including employees :D
Hopefully will be fine, I've only ordered once from once them before and that was just some bracket and screws.
I know what I'll be doing next time: grab the instructions from Sim-Lab and replicate their P1-X. There's nothing proprietary about these 4040/4080 aluminium profiles.
Communication seems to be handled by the overseas team in the USA. I have yet to speak to someone onshore.
owner of the companys pretty active on most of the aus sim racing community's just call them out if there service is that bad.
Someone made a video of the assembly process and said it took 20 hours. https://www.tiktok.com/@limittoo1/video/7463759827936808214
Good to know I wasn't the only numpty that took 20 hours to build mine lol.
Yea downsidenof extruded, it's not a simple process of just connecting tubes. Need to measure and align and readjust as needed.
It took me 2hrs for the TR80S, though I've had some experience working with alu profile.
Very reasonably priced dust collectors.
*looks at my dust covered TR160, shakes my head then upvotes.
Please stop using irrelevant tags: 4040, aluminum profile, Extruded, Racing Cockpit, rig, SIM Card
4040 and rig are meaningless. The store is not selling Aluminum profile, and extruded. SIM Card is completely the wrong product. We have already applied the correct tag in your last post and all you had to do is copy and paste from it.
Sim card was an auto correct I missed. Everything else applies. If I needed to narrow down a deal, I would search those key words.
If you don't know what 4040 means well then maybe look it up before calling it meaningless. A Sim cockpit can either be called a rig or a cockpit.
We won't argue with you that the first thing a person think of in a racing cockpit is 4040. However, the tags are for users to quickly obtain a list of relevant products but they were not meant to "narrow down a deal". A tagging system that does that would need to include all specifications as tags. We do not want that on OzBargain.
Thanks.
But that's not really how people search.
If you're looking for a sim rig, you'll use terms like "sim rig" "sim" "simracing". Of all the people searching for 4040 aluminum, only a very small percentage of them are doing it because they're trying to find a sim racing rig.
It comes with cable ties too, but you wouldn't tag those in.
Have fun assembling it and chasing them up for missing parts.
