  • The quality of this kettle isn't very good – the material is quite thin, and the exterior becomes extremely hot.

    • agree does get hot, other than that happy with it for the price

      That’s why there’s a handle.

  • Still better than a plastic kettle. All plastic or part plastic windows.

Like frig man, in 150 years of electric thingos. Ok. since 1950 ish, we still need 240/120v with 1800-2200 watts to boil water.
But the 1000w fry pan can boil water just as quick, but its fry pan…. Sunbeam 1980's fry pan. My mothers. hnnn……

My mum gave her kettle a great name some 20 years ago, Rusty Hobbs. It was a $100+ kettle that got thrown out within 3 years as it rusted in so many spots despite being "Stainless Steel"

I avoid the brand for this very reason.

  • bought this one two months ago when it was $29.9 member price. pretty good

Wasnt it $19 a few weeks ago?

    • Yes it was also $19 at Harvey Norman

  • My Russell hobbs leaks

  • Bought one for $19 a few weeks ago, be warn this is a very noisy kettle. I prefer my kmart glass kettle.

  • thnx, bought one for Kris Kringle.

  • Does anyone know if this is stainless steel inside? Trying to avoid plastic leaching. Considering this or the Phillips recently posted

    • Yes stainless steel inside, just some plastic/rubber on the inside of the lid, guess to hold the steam in
