I have problems in payment with Lyca recently. My kid's mobile is on a pre-paid plan, I paid to renew last month and it went server error. Transaction was shown on my card immediately but Lyca said it wasn't renewed. A couple of days later I find his plan was renewed eventually. I had the same server error just now when I bought an e-sim from this link. money was deducted, but not sure if shopback can track the transaction.

I found lyca to be a circus to deal with for payments.

      • +2

Lyca has been after me for 10 years wanting a 17c payment from a debacle after using their prepaid sim.

    • Updated: I got the e-sim quickly, hope the cashback will be tracked

      • Did your cashback track for eSim purchase?

        • No it hasn't been tracked

just warning those who doesn't know about this lyca mobile, too many complains so I would not touch this deal

So it's lyca bit of a turd?

      • +1

A real steamer of a dropped log.

Worst mobile provider by far. Wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy.

  • +2

No luck tracking with my last cashback deal with them. Supports been hopeless, wouldn’t recommend.

    • +1

same lodged ticket no update in 2 weeks.

wonder if we can cancel SIM & get refund from Lyca directly?

    We need more Negs

      Seems lyca poor deal…

  • +2

Gonna chime in, I purchased so many SIM cards with cashback on many different providers. Lyca was the only one that tracked, then rejected, even though all conditions were fulfilled. So no thanks!

I bought a Sim before and got problem. tried to contact support. online chat no response. phone call got message saying system problem, couldn't connected. horrible

  • Is cashback surely eligible for eSim purchases too? I have taken earlier, but that was a physical SIM and I had no issues in Tracking and/or renewal. So I'd like to give this a go too - but need eSim this time.

  • My last purchase for Lyca Mobile prepaid SIM, from Lyca Mobile Store on eBay, proved to be crap services. I suspected it was a poor quality SIM, as it could not receive normal signals.

Sim card does not receive signals genius

    never tracks so dont bother

    Obligatory warnings:

    • Absolute maximum 5 services per customer
    • Maximum 2 active services per customer
    • Turn off auto-renew/recharge after activation
    • Poor customer service

Please stop marketing LYCA especially when combining with the cluster[profanity] cashback

Ain’t worth your time with their abysmal CS when things go wrong (not IF)

    • Please ignore and move on. I have purchased twice and didn't have a problem.

      • Were your purchases eSim or a physical Sim? Wanting to understand if Cashback is eligible on eSim as well for Lyca w/ Shopback.

Be kind to yourself and scroll on to other deals. $5.50 (potential) profit is not worth the stress and unhappiness with dealing with Lyca a.k.a worst mobile provider in Australia.

  • my story for last lyca deal: payment passed but webpage shows transaction failed. Then the sim came and activated fine, BUT with NO credit on it. Then took almost a month to get refund. What a bloody joke and waste of time.

  • Not worth the aggravation. Look at all the negative experiences from ozbargainers.
