Makita Tin Coat Flute HSS Metric Drill Bit Set 170PCE - $59 Delivered @ Power Tool Specialists

610

Browsing through some EOFY deals and found this to be an incredible deal. I use Milwaukee tools, but I am finding Makita Accessories are incredible value for money. Probably too many bits for most people but I found this to be the best value for money especially with the metal case.

Other deals that maybe useful:

Makita 32 PCE Screwdriver Bit Set: $32.00 - $19.20 (Delivered)

Makita 18V Rapid Charger: $219.00 - $50.00 (Delivered)

Milwaukee Shockwave 32 PCE Mini Impact Driver Bit Set: $24.00 - $12.00 (Delivered)

Milwaukee Shockwave 86 PCE Drive Kit Comprehensive Set: $149.00 - $99.00 (Delivered)

There are other deals on their website, but the ones above especially seem to be of a great value.

Please share if you find any other deals that are worth considering. I have previously bought a Makita Utility Knife for under $10 and Makita Ratchet Screwdriver for $7.73 because you can never have enough of those.

Edit: They do have a dirt bike giveaway happening too at the moment. You get one entry when you spend $100 on any Milwaukee Tools and Accessories.

    Are they genuine or fake?

    • I literally had to click on the listing again and read it. The Image says Authorised Makita Dealer so I would imagine they are genuine.

      • Literally.

    • They are authorised dealer as listed on Makita Australia website and provide free delivery to most of items. I always try to purchase from them directly to support small business instead of getting a Bunnings price beat.

Would Bunnings price match Power Tool Specialists?

Anyone else get: There was an issue with PayPal. Try again or use a different payment method. ?

    • Yes, and this was how I found out other stores which had been 'replicated' were fake. Not sure on this one, it is either a legit store with a legit issue or they just make it more believable.

Price was too good to miss, last time I saw the prices of drill bits at bunnings I almost died :) Site looks legit, place is real when I googled it

Have shopped here in person before - can confirm it's legit. In my case they price matched Bunnings on a Makita circular saw.

It is legit, I sneakily added something to my cart that came up out of stock on normal page somehow just to see if they still had it, or would cancel it whatever. And it delayed the order by a week or two, and they sent me bunch of free Milwaukee stuff (hat, bottle opener, sticker) in addition. No one does that anymore weird being treated nice, everything else was there and legit.

    • Tried three browsers. None got past the PayPal issue. Gave up. Sellers need to understand their websites must work, or they lose business.

      • I've had similar Paypal issues on a couple of sites recently…

  • my order was accepted, paid by amex

    Just ordered and was accepted

    • Same, seems to be in stock..

Got one. Total overkill quantity for my needs, but the price per bit was too good to pass on. Should be a lifetime supply of hss bits!

    • Which one did you get? I am still undecided as I only have Dewalt impact driver and Makita drill :(

      • Not sure what you mean mate. I got the 170pc drill bit set. Not sure if impact rated but I would use my regular drill with them anyway.

  • I contacted Bunnings for a price match last night, but I still haven’t received any response.

I just got an email from Bunnings confirming they will match the price.

I dont see the Makita set on the Bunnings website. Do you have a link or item id?

        • Sorry for the confusion. I wasn’t referring to the 170 piece drill bit set, that’s too many for me. I just wanted to check if Bunnings would price match. I actually asked them to match the price for the Makita 10 Piece Jigsaw Blade Combination Set.

  • Im hoping they are real as the cheap ones come in the same box and look the same….

order was refunded to me as they said they weren't able to get enough stock. annoyed!! but they still have it listed for sale on their website??

  • I just received Mine and OMG was it ever a bargain :o

This would have to be the best drill kit I have ever bought (and i have bought heaps)

It is "made in China" though…. so hard to judge the quality of the metal just looking at them for now :)
