For those who picked up the glasses (or even have alternative XR glasses that are compatible via the USB-C adaptor), there is currently a limited deal on the Neckband. Great for those that want 3DoF or just a dedicated portable streaming device.

Reviews of the hardware are good (company addressed heat and noise complaints from the previous model), software seemed lackluster at release but appears to be better after recent updates.

who else read it as neckbeard
is that what I think of ozbargainers

  • If you have a phone, you don’t really need this. And 3D sucks on the Viture.

  • I have the Viture Pro XR glasses, they are great for media consumption on the go, but a phone with USB-C DisplayPort out is a much better alternative. You can get a Galaxy S22 for a similar price, which has even more functionality with DeX.

P.S: BTW there is a new version of the glasses coming out in little over a week.

    • The use case of the Neckband is perfect for those who don't want to carry their phone but still want to use the 3dof capabilities.

  • Glasses are still on special

  • Use code VITURE10 for another 10% off bringing it down to $366 for the 8GB/128GB version.

I have the Viture XR Pros and they are nice to use as a monitor extension.. but they aren't really AR/VR glasses that were advertised. It barely plays 3D stuff properly without it crashing with the dodgy Android app it uses (apparently the Apple one works slightly better).

These neckbands are the second gen ones that isn't just a "phone replacement". It is supposed to give you the AR/VR functions when used with the Viture glasses. The neckbands have 3DoF and has hand tracking/gestures due to inbuilt sensors into the bottom of the band itself. It's hardly a Quest 3 or Vision Pro in comparison though.
