      Note on PC, for Valkyria Chronicles at least the game is affected by FPS so high frames will make enemies more reactant iirc and also may affect physics (so tank could get stuck)

    Great turn-based strategy games (with real-time component) that unfortunately never quite got the wider gaming community attention it deserves.

    Something to note with regards to the gameplay:
    Your mission rating is based on how few turns you take to complete the mission objectives, not on how thoroughly you wipe out the enemy forces while taking minimal casualties.

    • On the one hand, that means the missions don't get dragged out having to chase down and eliminate every single enemy unit as in some turn-based strategy games (the Super Robot Wars games can be very guilty of this).
    • On the other hand, this encourages players to constantly just rush the objective/abuse the game mechanics, rather than using more sensible and stable tactics.
