SanDisk Extreme Portable V2 1TB USB-C 3.2 External SSD $95.95 + Delivery ($0 NSW C&C) @ Mwave ($91.16 Price Beat @ Officeworks)

140

Was looking for some USB 3.2 Gen 2 SSDs to backup a few new client jobs and came across this deal at Mwave.

Seems like very close to an all time low and is in fact the cheapest it has ever been with a pricematch from Officeworks according to camelcamelcamel.

Picked up 2 myself and they are working great so far alongside my Samsung T7s.

EDIT: Looks like the jig is up, price back up to $191.95 now

Surcharges: 0% bank transfer, BPAY, Afterpay, 1% for credit/debit card & Zip.

    Isn't mwave under administration.

People who have orders are in limbo, can't get refunds and no idea when they will receive them.

Oh really? I had no idea. Still managed to use their website to get a price match from Officeworks.

Just pasting this link here: https://www.mwave.com.au/blog/business-update from Mwave. They were acquired by DigiDirect and are honouring orders.

How will unfulfilled orders be handled?

We are committed to fulfilling all orders swiftly and efficiently, maintaining the place in pre-order and backorder queues of all customers. We anticipate there will be a maximum of 2-3 days delay on any current available shipments as we work through a stocktake and change over courier accounts to new ownership.

      • Oh what the heck!

big news in the tech australian store space i think?

word is honouring orders but not returns . could be returns for products sold on the previous ownership . same for preorders. The whole thing looks ugly.

I'd say not worth the hassle with them

        • I'm not sure on how they'll handle returns, but for warranty claims and order cancellations, they do have "Answers" for those in the link under "What happens to my warranty? What happens if I want to make a new claim?" and "What if I want to just cancel my order or I have changed my mind?"

  • Sorry never done officeworks price beat. After you call them what happens? Do they like give you a code or something to be able to place a C&C order

U pay online on phone or u need to personally visit their store.

      • Ah so you can't use multiple gift cards over the phone i guess

Just a warning for those that are not aware, higher capacity versions of these drives have a pretty bad rep and Sandisk's response to them has been lacking which doesn't exactly inspire any confidence.

    • Is 1TB version reliable?

    • Someone will say they've never had issues with theirs, waiting for that comment to come 🤣

      • Lol, i've been fine. I believe only very much older stock, within a certain range of serial numbers, had issues.

          Ding ding!

        • Mate of mine had his shit itself the other month. It was 2 months old. Samsung SSD portables crap on SanDisk for reliability.

  • Showing $191.95 for me.

    • Looks like they've put the price back up
