Almost a full year membership at derrimut 24/7 lmao
        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/912818

I dont understand how Gyms dont understanding this lower prices = high membership

High membership = more cross sales ie selling drinks, shakes, food, cloths etc in your gym, advertising over the radio etc

You dont make money from selling memberships you make money from Membership numbers

        • Almost a full year membership at derrimut 24/7 lmao

Yes, but as they say, location location location

@Trying2SaveABuck: Sure, but also what is derrimut's location east melbourne.. Clayton, a 30 mins drive ?

              Thanks champ.

@Zuelly: Yea there are still cheaper gyms on the eastern suburbs then this champ

Are you associated with the gym based on your comments you seem to be shilling?

                • +1

@Trying2SaveABuck: Never been to nor associated with any gym.

Think I should give it a role as closest Club Lime is around the corner. I see everytime I go for a walk.

                • @Trying2SaveABuck: @Trying2SaveABuck I go to this gym in Ringwood and would love to know if there are cheaper options in the area. Thanks.

      • I emailed them about this, the minimum total is a placeholder.

If you select the 30th of June as your contract start date, you'll only pay a pro-rated amount (around $10, depending on which club) upfront.

  • If am reading this correct, some locations aren't single club…?
Ah well, been thinking about Gym for a while, any downsides to this deal?

Edit - Basically, pay 4 weeks worth, get 6 weeks extra credit (10 total)…?

I think membership options vary, with some combo of:
      - single club access
      - local area access (e.g. a few close by)
      - state-based access
      - national access

Correct - 10 weeks for the price of 4. Min cost will vary based on the weekly cost at each club, I think most are similar, but a few smaller clubs may be cheaper.
Need 30 days notice to cancel like many gyms.

(I'm an EP - exercise physiologist - not part of membership team)

    • I ended up signing up, paid $8 for the pro-rata membership to the end of the pay cycle, and now have ~$110 credit on my account. So I think It'll end up being $8 for 6.5 weeks for me.

  • I went there for a week. I have never seen so many people almost get into fights over equipment, etc. Couldn't pay me to go there

    • wow! How come? They look 5 times bigger than my local anytime fitness?

      • +1

It was the people who were there. The mood was off. Just unlucky I guess, but in 4 visits, saw at least one argument each time.

        • That sucks greatly. I also wouldn't want to train there, sounds ugly.

For balance, I'm an exercise physiologist across a few Club Limes in Melbourne east side, and never seen anything close to that where I'm working (nor at most other gyms I've been at TBH, I don't think "no fights" is a USP). Generally pretty happy with some chill vibes here.

Club lime is a scam. They extended my contract beyond the initial agreed dates when COVID hit. Broke the contract and then I could never reach the right people to make a change and get refunded.

  • I cant see on the website, but does this included group classes also?
