  • Anyone use sheets with this for sheets,Doesn't have reverse tumbling? Seems to be an issue from some of the reviews if using it for sheets,is reverse tumbling essential thing to have ?

    • We have this and it does tie the sheets into a ball sometimes. It's not always and I haven't found a pattern/scenario which causes it (e.g. more sheets, less sheets, only 1 sheet compared to 3).

A bit cheaper at TGG (and can avoid Gerry) - Showing as $939 with the Price Beat button at The Good Guys with $150 in 90-day store cash.

    • How does store cash work?
Do you get a $150 gift card that valid for 90 days after picked up?

I've been trying to look at T&Cs and that's what it appears to be.

But Sale Rep told me it's only for Gold Service Member only, and it's in $20 increments.

"Store cash is usually when you purchase Gold service with the product you will receive $20 vouchers every four months after your purchase. Thats allowing 90 days period to use those vouchers. "

    THIS DOES NOT REVERSE TUMBLE

Advertised as having a reverse tumble feature, BUT lots of choice users complain that it doesn't work and sheets still ball up.

Choice responded to user comment with the following:

Thanks for your feedback. In a word, it's complicated. The dryer DOES have reverse tumbling, however, it only reverses for around 90 seconds at a time, then goes back to the original direction of rotation. That's because the fan, heat pump and drum are all run of the one motor, so to reverse one means reversing the flow of air through the machine - this can potentially damage the heat pump, and means you're not pumping hot air though your clothes any more. They do this because of cost and energy efficiency - adding a separate motor would push up the price, but more importantly it would mean the machine uses more energy, pushing the star rating down. We've gone back and fourth on this point several times, but we're making the final call now that no, it has no reverse tumbling. A bad point of 'no MEANINGFUL reverse tumbling' and updated the dryer review accordingly

    • What's the advantage of reverse tumbling?

      • +1

clothing will tangle into a ball. Inside of the ball will be still wet when the program is done. It becomes worst when drying bed sheets, which means forever to dry.

        • Ah ok thanks. Good to know.

  • @TheDuck2020 How's the reverse tumbling on your Westinghouse? Does it ball up sheets?

  • Got one of these. Dryer balls seem to help with pants strings twisted till they break and sheets balling up,

  • Does it get a lot of lint on the condenser fins? I have a one that I need to regularly vacuum and clean. I just don’t trust any “auto clean” feature. If it’s not accessible, sooner or later it would get clogged up.

    • Choice user reviews frequently mention that the condenser needs to be accessed from the back of the machine. Suppose to rely on auto clean.

This is also not a proper auto cleaning condenser, there’s a hose that is tucked under the front of the machine that you need to pull out and drain as it can’t remove all the water. It advises in the manual to do it frequently or the smell with end up in the drum. It’s a big reason of why I often suggest Bosch since they actually created the self cleaning condenser and I guess in fairness they aren’t $1,000.

    • Ooh sounds interesting what all boschs have this magic
