Needed a new printer this last weekend. Got this Brother Colour DCP Laser Printer DCP-L3560CDW from The Good Guys.
Listed price $429, but price beat button took it down to $418 C&C.
Happy with the copying and printing done so far.

Whatever Brother fits your needs and budget.

Look up the cost of generic toner, get whichever has generics available for a cheap price.

Unless you're printing high DPI, photos or other specialised applications, basically all colour laser printers are the same. The long run costs are primarily driven by the cost of the toner.

Just see if three unit requires a drum, and how long it lasts, plus cost. That's why we now have 2 x Epson ecotanks.

+1 for Ecotanks, much more affordable to run but can have higher upfront costs.

      • Ow had an entry level one at a good price recently.

Does it also need to be suitable for the upper level?

  • I wouldn't recommend Brother lasers any more. Can no longer reset print count on the newer models.

My 3170CDW has been going fine but is on its way out. Not sure what to replace it with. Considering an ecotank as the kids are printing more photos and pictures these days…

  • My brother 3750CDW died just before 2 years.
    Warranty was only 12mths.
Tried ACL at officeworks, but seems no dice.
Never had one of these things die that early.
I previously had a HP laserjet, but upgraded because no driver support.
    Sigh.
Using the old HL2132 for bw printing, but need scanning and colour.
No obvious replacement and not sure I'd give brother another cent.
