  • Is extreme or high endurance better for video recording?

    • +3

      High Endurance.
      Max Endurance is even better.

      • +1

        100%.

High endurance cards are better for video recording.

        From Google:

"While Extreme cards can be used for video recording, they may not offer the same level of longevity and reliability as dedicated high endurance cards over time".

For my cameras, I ended up going for the 128gb Sandisk High Endurance since it is universally recommended for that use case.

They were down to $25 on Amazon, got officeworks to price beat down to $23.75, ok price. Prime day is coming, if you wait, you should get a deal on this again.

Even cheaper at bunnings "market place" here could be grey market imported stock though, officeworks wouldn't price match this claiming the model number was different. It's only different because the listing has different capacities but only lists the model number for the 32gb version.

Been waiting for a Samsung EVO 256GB for A$25

  • Which one is better for dashcam?

    • +1

Go for a high endurance or max endurance card, they're more resilient when it comes to being overwritten regularly.

        Thanks 🙏

      • +2

+1 Absolutely go for the high endurance card, if you can reasonably afford it, for a dash cam. The dashcam is useless if the card fails and you do not want it to fail right when you need it.

    • +1

Max endurance 64gb-256 for the viofo

  • Price keeps fluctuating, currently listed again at $20.

I got this for $19 with the Officeworks price beat. I bought 5 of them for $95! Bargain!
These will go great with my camera set up!
    Thanks op!
