Whats the actual fare? Deosnt mean much merely because QF is offering $100 "discount".

      Whats the actual fare?

More than what it was a few months back.

    • Technically, it would be the HK government offering the discount it seems. Qantas might only be supporting a tiny portion ;)

      • China Hong Kong SAR.

$100 off Return Flights to Hong Kong

So they increase the fares, then they adverise '$100 off'.

    How is that a bargain?

      • just to get free lounge access for your kids…

    • If for some contrived reason you MUST fly Qantas to Hong Kong during the specified period and you must book NOW instead of the myriad of other options :)

Gotta have rocks head ones head to prefer Qantas.

Looking to reduce pressure from the newcomer - Hong Kong Airlines - which just started SYD-HKG flights iirc.

Overpriced, terrible food, tiny seats, lack of service and constant delay for $1200.
    Welcome onboard.

      • Your first day in Australia? 😆

    • But at least they support oldies. Most of the female flight attendants probably average 45+ years old whereas other airlines much much younger.

      • +2

Not just oldies but oldies with a chip on their shoulder. Always rolling their eyes and making snarky comments for any request (even just a cup of water)

  • Need to try harder than $100!

    • CX, or even CZ if need be. Unless QF is at a discount (big one too for CX) or a time that others are not suitable.
