$25 Bonus after Completing First Purchase ($100 Min Spend) @ Cashback Australia

1811

Looks like another cashback site. They currently have a sign up bonus of $25 after your first purchase is confirmed. After a quick look I can’t really find any other conditions you need to satisfy.

Some ideas for purchase could be Pizza Hut or Giftz.com.au to buy a gift card (if it is eligible).

Minimum of $11 to withdraw to bank account, however I’m not clear if that includes the $25 bonus you receive.

Looks like they have a referral program too where you get $30 for referring another member and they get $25 after you both spend $100.

They also have a mobile app and browser extension.

Mod - Terms:

Our joining bonus is currently $25 for signing up. You must spend $100 within 90 days to unlock the bonus. Then you can withdraw into your PayPal or bank account.

    Website definitely needs some improvements

For example - what “Sale” products are they referring to for this lol. There are 2 cashback categories for this “Sale”

Boost Mobile Coupons, Deals for July 2025

    SHOP NOW
    Sale
    $4.00
    Sale
    $6.80

    • Same with Pizza Hut. Doesn't make sense.

Pizza Hut Australia Online Sale 0.00%
Pizza Hut Australia Online Sale 5.60%
Pizza Hut Australia Online Sale 2.40%

@BargainsGrabber So not ready for business. Check out Compare The Market. 😂

I do wonder if it’s actually as seen on DailyMail, 9News and news.com.au

        Doesn’t put much confidence

    No Amazon or eBay
    No Qantas or Virgin
    No Hotels.com or Trip.com
    No Chemist Warehouse

Doesn't look like any easy spends.

Gift card from giftz.com.au could be one, assuming it’s eligible

  • dont think giftz offers cashback with any other cashback place in australia.

if it works for a visa gift card worth $400 you get a bonus $4.75 after you pay the $4.95 fee. Tiny but could be useful for certain people trying to hit min spend or using it to pay for other things.

    • If it works…

    • Why buy a Visa? Wouldn’t a Woolworths or WISH be better with no activation fee? Also why $400, for this you only need to spend $100 to unlock the bonus.

      If it works..

      • +2

I wouldn't be surprised if all of those gift cards you've mentioned are excluded and they've just neglected to mention it. The terms and conditions for Giftz on the Velocity eStore and (previously) TopCashback both contained a long list of exclusions so 2.4% back on everything seems almost too good to be true.

      • +1

        I doubt it would work.

If you look at the Giftz Terms and Conditions of Sale, it suggests a lot of the gift cards sold on Giftz would not eligible for any cashback:

2.4. For all referring companies, individuals, websites and apps that offer programs such as credits/cashback/coupons and any other discounts on Gift Cards, the following Gift Card products are excluded from the such programs: Netflix, Shell, Category Choice range, Officeworks, Giftz, All Activ Visa variations, Spending Money Mastercard, Pocket Money Mastercard, 7-Eleven, Appliances Online, Bunnings, Big W, BWS, EG Fuel Card, Dan Murphy's, Woolworths Supermarket, Everyday WISH, Webjet, H&M, Harvey Norman, Flight Centre, and Total Tools. This list is subject to change from time to time without notice.

    vibecoded website

  • +10

Downvoted as it's not ready for business. I looked up several stores and the cashback is confusing from 0% upwards eg Pizza Hut, Boost, Compare The Market etc. There are no individual store T&Cs and just the generic site terms listed for each store.

    • +1

thank you for your feedback Compare the market is now fixed and we are fixing the rest

This isn't my company. I was also surprised by the unprofessional response from @Cashbackau on one of my queries. They literally have no idea about how to maintain a website.

          • @ThePointsGuru: Thanks. I'm aware but tagged a few people in my comment. I agree with the unprofessionalism and am concerned they will disappear soon with the cashback unpaid. Data security is another issue and I don't feel confident with the website.

Some OzBargainers probably have more knowledge about how these cashback sites work from regular shopping than this new company.

Edit: I edited my comment and reposted.

@trixieb: Trixie be positive not negative all the time

          • @ThePointsGuru: we are still waiting for your screen shot that we asked for so we can see what you can see. you have not responded.

      • @Cashbackau @BargainsGrabber @ThePointsGuru @CL123 @hanofee @ozilicious @VantageXL @WookieMonster Disappointing to see Cashback Australia has plagiarised the T&Cs from Cashrewards for Compare The Market without referencing Cashrewards. How unprofessional.

The following terms have been copied word for word from Cashrewards with the business name changed from Cashrewards to Cashback Australia.

        Cashback Australia / Screenshot:

Cashback is only eligible on completed purchases made through Cashback Australia. Any transactions initiated but not finalised will not be eligible for cashback.

All policies/plans must become financial and held without cancellation or pause for a minimum 90 days to be eligible for cashback.

Accepting a gift card from CTM and receiving cashback from Cashback Australia (doing both will result in your cashback being cancelled).

Trixie b. Is there anything positive you can say? Obviously your with a competitor. Jealously is a form of flattery.
Now lets clear up your claim. And how dumb it is.
Compare the market actually gave us that to paste on our site. They give that to all cashback sites. Before you make accusations you should do your home work better.

          Have a good one.

App is a couple of months old and '10+' downloads is also a bit concerning.

    • App was released on 26th May 2025. Updated on 2nd June.

      • thats right we are new

The welcome banner and "Add to Chrome free extension" at the bottom is in the kind of language and font that screams low effort phishing attempt.

  • +3

Competition is a good thing but wtf is this?

  • E-commerce? Its either going to be shopback or crypto.

  • Nothing ventured nothing gained right - I already got my Wish card via Giftz - so if I get the $2.40 plus $25 from CB then great

    • Please let us know if tracking comes through…

    • We will make sure you are paid your cashback if Gftz says no to it. We will honour it. The $25 is from us and not form giftz. Giftz just has to agree to your purchase for the bonus to be unlocked.

      Ian

      • Thanks for commenting Ian - good to see you active here on OzBargain.

FYI the purchased tracked successfully, however it shows as $0 Cashback (but $100 for the transaction).

Is there a reason why Giftz would say no? Nothing in the terms suggests not eligible

  • +1

Vet Supply has 2 cashbacks listed 3.2% & 4.8% but no explanation or wording to decipher what makes you eligible for either. In banner it just says "up to 4.8%".

Just like others mentioned above this site is either not fully complete and ready for use or a bit dodgy. Not a risk I want to take.

    • +5

Same. I'm not willing to risk cashback and my personal info with this new company. They don't appear to have a clue. No attention to detail and no individual merchant T&Cs. Will stick with my top two i.e. TCB and SB.

      • -5

more neg stuff from you. Must be getting the competitors that you deal with (based in Singapore) nervus.

      • +4

I am not willing to risk it either. Terrible customer service here.

  • +2

    No Aliexpress and no eBay?

    Good luck!

You'd need very deep pockets to compete in the saturated Australian cashback market these days.

Cheddar didn't last long, and that was a CBA-funded venture.

    • You didn't respond to confirm whether purchasing a $100 gift card from Giftz.com.au is eligible or not…. (you should probably honour this if not, as it wasn't mentioned anywhere that is not eligible)

      • +2

        Hi Moo,
        Yes you are eligible!!!

        • Why are orders from Giftz tracked as zero cashback instead of 2.4%?

          • +1

@ThePointsGuru: depends on what they choose to pay on certain cards. However, we still will pay the $25 join bonus regardless of what they give you as cashback. T&C's apply

            • +4

@Cashbackau: Then it's misleading as you have put a flat 2.4% cashback on Giftz without any exclusions.

                • +7

@Cashbackau: Are you seriously asking me to check why Giftz is showing 2.4% on your website, but the cashback is tracked as zero?
Being the owner of the website, I guess that's your team's job

                  • @ThePointsGuru: I'm in customer service. Can you please submit a ticket on our site that shows a screen shot of the tracking showing zero? we have tried it, and it says 2.4% . So we need to see what you are seeing.
                    submit it here: https://cashbackaustralia.com.au/contact/

                    Thank you

                    • @Cashbackau: Mine also shows $0 Cashback in my CA portal - will send screenshot

                    • @Cashbackau: I can see that the cashback amount has now been updated to $2.4. Also, the terms on your website for Giftz have been updated.
Is the purchase of gift cards from Giftz still eligible for the signup bonus, or are the excluded gift cards not eligible?

                      • @ThePointsGuru: sign up bonus is for any purchase regardless if cashback is 0 or 2.4%. 1 account per person only. Multiple accounts by 1 person will lead to account closure and forfeiting of bonus. Our tech team is keeping an eye on this.

  • Yes you are eligible for the bonus when you purchase a gift card. T&C's apply

  • FYI @Cashbackau I couldn't even sign up with my regular email address that has an underscore in it…. the website strips the _

    • ok thank you for that we will look into that with our techs

    • +1

      that has now been fixed

  • you can contact us here at any time :

    • +1

Same here… tracking email came through as $0 for the gift card but after a couple of days it has adjusted to $2.40. So yes fair play to them…
