They have finally "done right" by this film and released it in what appears to be a new transfer from the film.

      They also included all the extras found on the various releases, something completely missing from the first Blu-ray release. This kind of film demands "making of" specials, and the specials included are very interesting. They explain the sources of the film. You get to meet the director, the producers, and some of the actors as well. It's always very interesting to hear from the people who made the movie why they made the movie, what they experienced while making the film, and what they were thinking when they chose do one thing instead of something else."

      That release of Stargate from JB Hi-Fi would be an old DVD quality master with poor picture quality. The 15th Anniversary Edition would be a new remaster with proper 1080p picture quality. So basically you would be ripping yourself off buying the old release.

      I bought the 15th Anniversary Edition from Amazon a few months ago and the picture and sound quality is great.

    Damn I thought this was the complete SG1 seasons for a second :(

    They really need to remaster them and release them on bluray.

    I have the original Stargate Bluray and the picture quality isn't that great and it really does look like a VHS video upscaled to 1080p. Also it had no extras and the movie was only in 5.1 audio.

    I didn't realise that there was a better bluray version available, lets hope it's better quality. and YAY extras :)

    Anyway I ordered a copy but my order came to $10.83 AUD

    According to the reviews. This edition is a vast improvement over the original blu-ray release.

    This movie was so good, it changed my life
    It got me hooked into an immense world of the stargates.
    and I have watched all the Stargate TV series.

      I believe when that movie was out, computer graphics in movies was in its infancy and they made a big deal about how they had to program more dirt appearing on the starfighter as the story went on.
