Or get a $2k TV now and invest the $3,750 so you can afford a huge micro LED wall 10 years from now.
Life is short mate
What's the real benefit of going from a C7K to a C8K? In person, I noticed a big jump between a C6K and C7K but couldn't tell much difference between the 7 and 8.
I forgot which youtuber it was, but I watched a side-by-side review that compared these 2 models (the American versions which is the same as ours I believe). The C8K looked marginally brighter than C7K but where it really shone was a outer space night sky demo. The C8K had an almost OLED-like image in how it displayed the stars in the night sky. It looked great.
Comparing 75" for both models, the 7 has 1248 dimming zones whereas the 8 has 2176. The 8 is 'borderless' other than the TV frame itself whilst the 7 has the traditional black border inbetween the picture and the TV frame, just makes viewing a tad more immersive. Can't comment about differences in picture quality as I only own the 8 but coming from a VA el cheapo Sony TV, the difference is just mind blowing. I own an OLED monitor for my PC and can say besides the slight difference in black levels, there's nothing I miss. Oh, and it gets so bright, especially when viewing movies in a dark room.
How does the Hisense px3 pro compare?
Bigger is always better for me. Once I started watching movies on my mate's 150 inch screen with his Hisense C2 Ultra, it's hard to go back to regular 100 inch and below TVs. Yes, the quality of a high-end projector and ALR screen is astonishing and I much prefer it over a 98 inch TV (only seen this TV in store, no side-by-side for a fair comparison). For daytime viewing in a bright room, no doubt a TV will always be better. But if I had a 5K budget, projector + high quality screen is the way to go for me.
Sucks that Aus models don't come with a backlit remote.
100% this – the one it came with is useless in a dark room, you can only see the stupid netflix/prime/etc buttons.
The TV itself is awesome though!
Lg qned86a 100" or TCL C8K 98" $500 different, which one is bester??
I saw the 98” here for $5095

Got JB to price match it and then ended up getting it for $5095 from Harvey Norman with free delivery and a $500 gift card because I used my latitude interest free (which will be paid immediately anyway) I then used the gift card for a mount and installation.
Not bad if I say so myself and just the other day they wouldn’t do any lower then 6,400 because I missed that sale last week with the extra 15% off and they were apparently losing money. lol
The link you shared is 98C7K, you are lucky if JB or HN matched the price for 98C8K
lol. Wow. I didn’t even notice. I guess the sales at JB didn’t check the link. Whoops. Worked for me though.
@Aussiekent Have sent you a PM if you have time to look.
What was the ATL for 98 C855 last year?
Below $4K by the end of the year? With TCL/Hisense, any price is possible
