Heading to Turkey in October. Looking to go to Cappadocia for the hot air balloon and stay in a cave hotel (touristy I know but it is a bucket list item).
Can you suggest me a mid range cave hotel to stay in around 200AUD a night. There are so many to pick from it is overwhelming.
Also any tips on which hot air balloon ride to pick? Price for booking ahead seem exuberant

I stayed in "Ascension Cave Suites" when I went in 2022. A fine cave hotel that's also situated close to a hill where you can view the balloons take off & hover. Really beautiful site.
Re. the hot air balloon, every hotel there will ask guests when they want to get on the hot air balloon and book on their behalf. You can do the same or ask for a quote. Compare against GYG/Viator and pick the cheapest option. Obviously check for reviews and that they pick up from your hotel.

I stayed in a cave hotel in Matera, Italy, and regretted it. They're very damp and not good for your health.
