I find that standard USB flash drives survive a dip in the pool rather well. Just make sure it's dry first before you plug it back into a computer.

    • I think it is depend on the casing design, if water go in then most likely it will has some sort of demage

      • Nope. Almost all electronics will survive if there is no power.

Mobile phones are a very strange exception to the rule… I've seen some survive amounts of water that they really shouldn't.

      Most survive a wash cycle.

      And dryer cycle.

      Multiple times.

I am not a diligent pocket checker.

    • Treat it the same as any electronic device, if they fall in water stick it in a bag of rice for atleast 2 days. Don't plug it in to or turn it on until you know it's dry (inside more so than outside).

Excellent, my data will survive my next laundry load.

Sounds great, I can use these as a filler for the budgie smugglers during winter dips in the pool.

    • "is that a wrigleys in your speedos or are you…"

A hipster takes a USB drive to the pool? Doesn't sound hipster-ish.

    • but is up there with "a horse walks into a bar…"

or "A man walks into a bar"
        "Ouch"

A hipster would take a floppy disk to a pool if anything

  • What if you lose the lid? That happens ALL THE TIME to everyone I know…

      best get an x-ray

  • This will go great with my Waterproof laptop…

    • apparently jv you can plug the usb into the port via an air bubble in your snorkel

  • or I could pay 1/2 the price for a USB flash drive that's not waterproof.

Not really a bargain, I can't imagine a scenario where one requires a waterproof USB. But then I don't get into/on the water that much. But fun product in a way I guess

we may have, ladies and gentlemen, a climate change denier!

        ha ha

I think I'd be worrying about other things at that point, not 8gb worth of what would mostly likely be pirated music, movies and tv shows.

That said Officeworks could have done this deal during the QLD floods, and not while half the country is on fire. Poor form.

  • Will this work if i take my laptop into the spa?
