Possible flight cancellations and delays due to extremely volatile conditions in the region, hence the discounts!

But these flights are for October to November 2024 and we know it was safe last year

Can't wait to post kfc deals from 20 years ago 🤣

London? Is the FA Cup on at that time?

  • What about mid Dec?

You mean peak season cheap flights?

      • Why would London be peak in the middle of Winter?

        • Holiday season.

Personally its also my favourite time to visit London

        • Start of Dec is still normal fares. Mid Dec to day before Christmas Eve is when it's ludicrous.

          • @star-ggg:

Start of Dec is still normal fares.

            Nope… $2200

            • @jv: That's the normal fare- as in no discounts. (Or you could view it as 50% off compared to mid-Dec).

        • 'Undreds of fousands of expats 'eading 'ome for the 'olidays 🤷🏻‍♂️

Paid more than this to book return to Darwin from PER at end of the year.

  • Recently flew Qatar to Europe. No idea where they get their 5 star rating from. Very mediocre in service. Food awful. Communication even worse if a connecting flight is missed due to delays

Do not fly on their 787s or 777s if you are of reasonable height or width.

I'm 6'4 but quite thin and flew on these to the UK at Christmas time and the seats were the narrowest I've ever used. Incredibly uncomfortable with shoulders overlapping the person next to me and the trolley smashing my shoulder blade each time it came past.

I would only ever fly with Qatar again if it was on their A350.

    • I only fly a380 for long haul, it's unmatched in the cattle class seating, cabin noise, cabin space, and stability. It will be missed when all the airlines retire the a380.

I'm not familiar with the a350 so can't comment there.

The A350 and A380 are a good product. The 777 (which predominantly fly from Melbourne to Doha) and 787 (which predominantly fly from Doha to the UK) are horrendous.

Having said that, the 787 is a horrible plan for economy class as it's cabin width sits in no-mans land for airlines with more space than they think is necessary for the designed number of economy seats abreast so most of them squeeze in an extra seat abreast which makes them horribly narrow.

The 777 narrow seats is all on Qatar.

  • Erm, Qatar IS Hamas. Just saiyan
