Nvidia’s RTX 50 Super lineup leak hints at increased VRAM of up to 24GB and 415W TGP

Better at least match the 4090 and be sub $2.5k…but probs won’t be either

      • +4

        It'd be a front page bargain if it were <$2500. I can't see a 5080 24GB being less than $3000.

  • +1

Waiting for this to come down to 1500s

    • Yeh 4080 S for $1500ish last year seems like a relative bargain, given the shitty increase the 5080 offers (yes I know can be over clocked a bit, but MFG ain’t worth the extra either IMO)

      • +4

Pretty much everybody in thread regrets not pulling the trigger on the 4080 @ $1300 or the 4080S @ $1500. Really scummy of nvidia to pull stock before the 50XX release. Their new trick of restricting supply below shows that they haven't changed.

        • Yeh why would they? They don’t need to…

        • Of course they've changed… always for the worse.

        • Was reading a article today that they were already lower stock for the 50xx series to keep pricing above msrp.

I got my 7900XTX for $1400 a looong time ago. No regrest.

    overpriced shit…

It seems like NVIDIA is planning to cut the supply of their RTX 50 series GPUs in the coming months, as the firm wants to limit inventory levels to ensure prices don't drop under MSRP - https://wccftech.com/nvidia-rtx-50-supply-expected-to-fall-b… Usual dirty shenanigans from Nvidia artificially reducing supply to keep GPU prices high

    • +3

It's more like they'd rather make AI cards instead since they are far more profitable.

    • I think NVIDIA are not going to cut the supply of the GPUs themselves, but more of those GPUs are absolutely going into the higher-end RTX Pro Blackwell cards, so that they can charge 10X the price for double-triple the memory that enterprises and workstations need.

Recent news is that Nvidia are determined to keep prices high for a long time, by restricting supply.

It sucks but if I have to wait, I'll wait.

Too bad AMD can’t get their shit together and come up with decent PyTorch support on their consumer cards.
Even Intel is doing a better job.
48gb BattleMage card is looking very interesting.

    • Do you just mean on windows or is it bad in general?

      • Any platform, though torch runs better on Linux.

  • 9070XT seems like a much better buy, especially with the recent driver performance improvements

  • When I'm 50 and when I'm 80 I'll be 5080. I'll have 16 GB of memory and I'll have 3 fans to keep me cool. The neighbourhood will gather around to hear stories of how I generated artificial frames from my person and how I made 1080p look like 2160p using my grit and greasy armpits.

  • tell em they're dreaming

    • Great site, thank you!

  • Anyone with this card how cool does it go for %40-50 fan speed? finding reviews on such card is pain in the ass
