Should be at minimum the same if not better, but it depends.
Aldi's home brand stuff is made by different suppliers after they put out tender applications for each product. The place that made the last 75" may not be the same place that makes this one, so part quality may differ.
Tried looking for the AKAI website. Anyone notice it is down?
Yeah sounds dodgy. Can't even keep a web site up and running.
Also the real original AKAI went bankrupt decades ago and got sold off in a liquidation. Whatever these AKAI TVs are sold these days has nothing to do with the original AKAI. Just some cheap Chinese made television with AKAI written on it by a company which bought the rights to the AKAI name.

Did anyone buy one? Thoughts? Do people think this might be manufactured by Samsung this time. It’s running Samsung’s OS and has Samsung plus and App Store. Also the remote looks remarkably like my Samsung remote. I just after a cheap TV for gaming consoles.
Interested to hear back from any buyers. My local Aldi still has three for sale they can't move.
I'm presuming 60hz so won't matter what the HDMI intake is. Lots of TV for the realestate. $150 off their price from April apparently.
