Decent price for the Makita DHP486z. Trade quality, solid 140Nm powerful unit. What's the word I'm looking for… Oh yeh… bargain.

I’ve used this hammer drill on concrete with a 10mm and it worked great! Highly recommend!
Use the accessory handle when drilling anything that might bind (wood) It will wreck your wrist in a split second, ask me how I know :)
Power Tools Specialists has this for $199 as well, I did a price match a week ago and got it for $180 at Bunnings.
Power tool specialists also has the 40v skin for $250, apparently Bunnings doesn't sell that skin separately. Might be able to price match with other tool retailers tho for better deal.
After a new Makita Drill. Anyone got any ideas with one that isnt a wrist breaker. I nearly cooked mine with my old one.. was so dangerous.
When the kick back happened the chuck snapped so lucky
Use the torque settings(numbers on the chuck)
sometimes it is not enough the it cuts out before even making an attempt so gotta send it at full speed
I've read some reviews online about the chuck breaking/experiencing issues with not locking after some use as well as the mode change switch (from drill/hammer) failing and not switching over? Anyone got any insight into this? Or are those isolated incidents? Otherwise, reviews seem positive for this model and make me wanna buy one to add to my kit
This particular model does not seem to have anti kickback
Love mine. Solid and powerful.. it is pretty heavy with a 6.0Ah battery though, but haven’t needed to do that often. For $199, it’s a steal. Nice deal OP as I bought mine for I think $270 and thought that was great.
