  • That 14" Is not a gaming laptop. GeForce 9200??? Please that won't even play simple games very well.

  • Where does it say Gaming Laptop? I only read Entertainment Laptop. Btw I think that's pretty nice deal for the 1042tx, the tablet only runs on a 4-cell battery…

    • It says it right there '14" GAMING Laptop". Are you blind?

      • If you are right they must have updated the site because I too do not see the word gaming anywhere.

        • The person posting the deal probably added that in into the deal description, not the HP site.

The price is OK on the tablet but the savings are not $999.
MWave have it for $1495.80 http://www.mwave.com.au/newAU/mwaveAU/productdetail.asp?SKU=…

There is no GAMING LAPTOP on http://h50190.www5.hp.com/Store/promotions.asp lol T_T

Btw I couldn't checkout, thats gay. And I can't contact them either

Edit: Nvm, I used IE and now it checkout fine. Wasn't working with Firefox before

  • does anyone know of any valid coupon codes that'd work for the tx2522au?

  • Is it just me or are these deals not very good? The "was" prices seem very marked up.

  • sorry guys, i just want to be a little more informative, it's got quite powerful CPU and dedicated graphics so i thought It's quite capable, but yeah 14" can't expect to be a powerhouse.

    Sigh
ANYONE BOTHERED TO CHECK THE PRICE OF THESE LAPTOPS PROPERLY BEFORE VOTING?

I'm so sick of newbies voting + for every single deal that someone puts up on ozbargain.

Shopbot search shows $1457 as an everyday price for the HP Pavilion tx2522au, hp has it for $1300 and claims this is $1000 bucks off lol!
Yes there is a REAL SAVING of $150 but it's hardly worth while as there are probably other models/brands cheaper with the same config.

I'm just so sick of these wave of FAKE Bargains hitting the Ozbargain website.

Scotty, I really thing you should change the + votes to 10 before it goes on the front page. Atm, the site is turning into 1 huge free advertising circus for many retailers.

    • On your most recent post http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/7128
37c / pepsi can, that's a saving of a few cents a can, I didn't see you complaint to the 57 ppl who voted +ve to you.

      Stop bullying others!

    • I'm sure this old fella appreciates being young again.

In this case I think an extra $150 is a bargain compared to shopbot.

Like someone here also said - a few cents off a can of drink - which btw using your terminolgy -> who in their right ozbargain mind would ever pay rrp for a can of coke.

as for the +10 idea - now the site gets more hits and more participants this may have some merit.

    • +1

In this deal its the 1042TX we are talking about. Shopbot doesn't have any of those, only show result for less powerful Processor and RAM and HDD and other stuff lol. Look into the detailed specs dude.

DSE has it for 2k, so the advertisement is not quite right, but it's still a bargain.

      • Your Right.
I could only find the tablet with the exact same specs not the other 2 computers.
HP had the best processor speeds and ram configurations.
        Also free shipping.

Botom line, these were the best price in Australia for these 3 laptops.
You were also 100% going to get the product you paid for- no dodgy international models or refurbished.

        Great Deal.

  • sigh

Neosin: did you notice the letters RRP next to the full price? that means recommended retail price! So yes its $1000 off the RRP.

You did your homework and checked shotbot and its $150 cheaper than any store so yes it is a bargain.
If people are looking for a laptop around those specs then this would be a bargain compared to the other places where you can purchase this item.

I do agree though that the number of + votes should be higher as there is obviously more people voting on this site now.
