So these ones are even cheaper than the other deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/914197 for those that may have missed out. Probably from the same factory.

Same story, 1.5v lithium rechargeable batteries instead of the usual 1.2v NiMH that sometimes don't work in certain devices. I haven't bought yet as the day is still young and I'm still half asleep. Maybe more deals will pop up for another 40c less than this.

Got throttled by OzB so couldn't share this earlier. Limit of two deals per hour because they hate Prime Day and the servers can't keep up. Also helps drive repeat traffic to monetise this site.

  • The XTAR are on sale $57 for 8 much better, nearly 50% more capacity, but without charger.

    With a 8 cell charger is $67

Buy two of these for 16 batteries and two chargers and still cheaper than Xtar?

True. I would like my batteries to last longer but understand some will go for more cells

    • I'd say as a middle ground get the Homesuit or Imuto @ $34.39 for 3600mWh 8 pack with charger.

In my testing, both the 3600mWh and 4150mWh give you roughly 2000mAh equivalent at the full 1.5V. The XTAR will run longer in low voltage indicator mode at 1.1V though.

It's likely Amazon pays for the banner placement for Prime day on here so maybe it's a good thing.

  • Do these ones also have a one in eight failure rate that has been reported here from buyers of this type of battery?

    • All mine worked fine, 8 green lights after charging and all have worked so far

  • Suggestions on additional batteries without the charger? It seems just as cheap to buy with the charger.
