Not quite all time lows but the cheapest around at the moment.

COSRX Snail Mucin 96% Power Repairing Essence 100ml $13.65

The essence can be used by all skin types, it's very hydrating, soothing and strengthens the skin barrier, helps with scar healing etc. It is non-sticky and has a very pleasant texture. According to the man in the house, it doesn't tingle even when applied after shaving. You would use this after cleansing and drying your face, before moisturiser and sunscreen. It can be used AM and PM.

COSRX The Vitamin C 23 20ml $23.99

High-strength water-based vitamin C serum with 23% pure ascorbic acid - not for beginners - please start with something around 10% instead. Needs to be refrigerated because pure vitamin C oxidises really quickly with heat, air the light. CosRX recommends using soon after purchase, despite the printed expiry date which is usually 2 years away . I've used many vitamin C serums and this one has one of the nicest textures. Yes it's a small amount but that's deliberate because of how quickly vitamin C serums oxidise.

COSRX 6 Peptide Skin Booster 150ml $23.99

A lightweight hydrating serum that has 6 Peptides targeting 'skin elasticity, fine lines, pores, and radiance'. To be used as the first step after cleansing.

Not sure its worth rolling the dice by purchasing facial creams off Amazon when they comingle inventory.

This is sold by the CosRX official store on Amazon, not some unknown third-party seller. I (and other OzBargainers) have purchased before without issues.

Comingled inventory is when Amazon takes inventory from multiple stores, both original products and fakes, then classifies, stores and distributes all orders from the same pool. One of the worst examples of this happening was with a cryptocurrency hardware wallet.
I'm glad you haven't had any issues.

As BoltThrower said that doesn't matter now that Amazon commingles inventory. Commingled means inventory from all stores gets piled together. You purchased form CosRX official store but there's nothing to say that the product you receive has been provided from their inventory and not some random other storefront selling fakes.

On some items I'll take my chance but not on a facial cream.

I understand your point about comingled inventory, but I'm not sure if that's the case for Amazon Australia, and if it affects all products. Some sources say that sellers can opt-out of comingled inventory, and if that's the case, it would be crazy for a skincare brand to not opt-out. From skincare forums, the buyers that have had counterfeit issues seem to have unknowingly bought from an unofficial third-party seller.

I guess the safety net is that Amazon are really good with refunding if there's a problem.

Can confirm that they do in Australia. The only way to tell if a company has opted out apparently is that you will receive the item with an FNSKU label attached, so you could always check for one and return if it doesn't have it.

Is a refund worth it if you end up damaging your skin with a harmful product? You'd only really know after the fact.

            Thanks, that's helpful to know

Been using the product a long time so can compare packaging and also tell by texture.

            • @moocher: Fair. Apparently the knock offs have good packaging but consistency is off so you're probably good.

@Cheaplikethebird: Can confirm unopened bottle from last sale has the FNSKU label, thanks for the tip

  • Can confirm, purchased from Amazon and has been no issues, Very good prices at the moment

  • This is decent, but not all that special — Lila Beauty sells the Snail Mucin around ~$15 year round.

    • They've had it for $15.95 for a while now, but needs $48 min spend for free shipping

  • Is the Snail Mucin meant to be used daily? How does it pair with things like BHA's or AHA's?

    • +2

Yes, it's not irritating at all, you can use twice a day. You can use the acid first, let it dry then use the snail essence after. Or just alternate - e.g. snail essence AM, acid PM
